The 3rd of the 3rd

Willy’s birthday is easy to remember as it falls on the 3rd of March, and last night we headed to Mizuya to celebrate him turning 28. This was my first visit to Mizuya, which is underground on George St - Sydney’s main strip - where the Maloney’s bar used to be. The restaurant is split into two: filling one half are booths while the other side houses karaoke rooms. The fit-out is pretty nice with some clever use of LED lighting (although there was a tad too much black IMO). You order food and drinks via a touch-screen system similar to Wagaya. Unfortunately as it was a weekday, most of us retired at 11pm although some were game enough to kick on until 6AM!
