GGS screen protector

While in Japan I got a bit of a fright when I pulled the LX3 out of my bag to see a cracked screen. I must say my heart sank, as this wasn’t the first time I’ve broken a camera. Luckily the GGS screen protector did its job, with the screen beneath completely unscathed. Unliked normal protectors which are plastic films, GGS ones are made from glass.

Used a business card to remove the cracked protector without scratching the screen. After a wipe with prepsol the LX3 was ready for a replacement protector. GGS protectors only set you back around $8 off eBay, so they’re a great insurance policy. They’re also easier to apply than film versions which easily develop air bubbles.
